AL of shield if you don't meet the requirement? - Guild Wars Forums

I was using my Malinon's Sh am I getield on my R/Mo in Gates of Kryta to smite undead to level up, and even though I still get the 45/2 bonus from being enchanted, just how much armor am I getting from it without any tactics?

I think the newbie shields from pre-searing are minimum 3 Armor, so I'd assume you get 3 armor from it.

Usually items that you don't meet the req. for are considered newbie items by the game mechanics.

I believe it is 3 armor for blue shields, 5 armor for gold shields.
If shields follow foci in hidden value logic, then green shields will have 3 armor, and purple 5 armor base.
